Version 1.2 is here! I listened to requests and added a few new features like the possibility to globally disable WordPress default widgets.
I’ve always missed the possibility of adding notes to my clients or co-developers inside WordPress. I want to be able to communicate directly on the dashboard when logging in into a WordPress site. So I built a simple plug-in that does exactly this.
Features
- Dashboard Widgetized
- Control what user-level can edit/view each ‘notepad’.
- Up to 3 different notepads as individual widgets.
- Configuration on each widget directly.
- Disable any WordPress default widgets (globally).
- HTML support for view mode.
- Built in raw CSS customization of each pad.
Download latest version
- Dashboard Notepads (1.2)
Ideas for future versions
* Individual height settings for each notepad that gets saved when dragging (Safari).
* Rich-text editing

Oops, sorry, I haven’t seen the options in the Dashboard Menu, I was looking in Options or Tools.
Thank you ;)

thanks! yeah I put it there to not clog the settings. I plan to build in customization of each notepad directly on the widget via a Configure link.

Works fine! Would it be possible to add individual tabs on top of each notepad with the use of CSS code to get a better structure?

hi, i can get the notepads to display and edit on the admin page but despite setting to contributor view, I am having no luck with showing them in contributors dashboard. Any tips please as this is a really useful tool for communicating with multiple authors. Any known conflicts?

It’s not under Widgets. It’s under the Dashboard.
